ST. MICHAEL’S PARISH CHURCH
The first records of the church date back to 1330, but the building has been destroyed several times over the centuries. The current church building is 250 years old, Baroque in style, and was rebuilt on the site of the previous destroyed building thanks to Maria Theresa. Since the 1990s, the church has undergone continuous and comprehensive renovation and modernization. Among other things, the congregation has equipped the church with electricity, heating, and new stained glass windows, and the parish building has also been rebuilt.
PRO-PATRIA – STATUE OF HEROES
The most beautiful outdoor monument in the town, originally dating from 1930, was erected in memory of the residents of Nyergesújfalu who fell in World War I. The monument, which was partially destroyed in the storms of history, was reconstructed in 2012.
KURUC RAVELLINS
Remains of the ramparts from the Rákóczi War of Independence. The ramparts are still clearly visible today, and the hilltop offers a breathtaking view of the Danube and the surrounding countryside.
